Job Trends Are Showing a Rise in the Digital Space

There are jobs that are going to be around forever.  There is always going to be a need for Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, and all sorts of professional services.  There is also always going to be a need for people who know the trades, such as plumbers and electricians.  These are evergreen careers that have been around for a long time and will continue to thrive.  There are also going to a need for these professions and a career in any of these areas can be very rewarding and fulfilling.

If you were able to go back in time to speak to someone from our history such as, let’s say, Abraham Lincoln, he would be able to tell you stories from his own legal practice.  You would also be able to speak with him about the advances in medicine and the need for keeping track of your finances.  19th century America also had a need for plumbers since Philadelphia used cast iron pipes for water and sewage as early as 1804.  If you spoke to Abe about electricians, he might have some questions as it really wasn’t until 1881 when alternating current was invented.  However, Lincoln would know what electricity was.

However, with new generations of people being raised on technology, it is no surprise that many people are looking to enter the world of technology and who knows what amazing things the next generation will invent.  If you talked to the Civil War-era president about the jobs trending in 2022, he would most certainly have questions for you.  Of the top 10 trending jobs, according to Linked In, 6 of them have to do with the digital world.  These jobs are Javascript Developer, Cybersecurity Specialist, Cloud Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Data Scientist, and the number one trending job is Artificial Intelligence Specialist.

While you may want to enter the world of technology, it is important to know what the current trends are in the job market if you are looking for a career change or you are just starting out.  If you have not decided which way to send your career, getting started in the digital world could be a great way to have a career that can do nothing but grow.  Technology is changing so fast and people who can adapt to these changes are going to do very well for themselves.

Where are trends going to go in the coming years?  There is no way for us to know, but we can tell you that jobs in the digital space are going to continue to grow for the foreseeable future.
